Jason Clarke

Jason has over 20 years’ experience in financial services. Before joining Recreo, he was responsible for identifying and heading up the acquisition of, Lonsec, and merging the business with SuperRatings to form Lonsec Fiscal Holdings. During this time, Jason also initiated and created Adviser Network, initiated and created the Lonsec Direct Investment Service and initiated and led the rebrand of Financial Research Holdings to the cohesive Lonsec Fiscal Group.

Prior to Lonsec, Jason was CEO of SuperRatings, during this period, Jason consulted to the majority of super funds and became a regular market commentator on superannuation and market performance. Jason has also presented and spoken at key Australian and International conferences on retirement savings performance, systems and strategies.

Jason holds a Bachelor Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University of Technology.

James is a former partner of Gilbert + Tobin.  He co-founded Gilbert + Tobin’s Banking and Finance Group in 2006 and was a banking and finance partner with Gilbert + Tobin for 11 years.  Prior to that he practiced with Allens Arthur Robinson in Sydney and Singapore and Slaughter and May in London.

James specialises in acquisition and cross border financing and insolvency and restructuring.  However, he has advised extensively on most areas of corporate debt financing including structured financing, property financing, project financing and US debt financing. 

He has been listed in Chambers, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers over various years in the areas of Banking & Finance, Acquisition Finance, Private Equity Law, Debt Trading and Insolvency and Restructuring.

James holds Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Bond University.

Paul is Managing Director of Nanuk Asset Management and Chairman of Investment Risk. Prior to Nanuk he was head of GMO Australasia 1999-2008. Paul held senior roles at Westpac Investment Management including Global Tactical Asset Allocation product development, portfolio management and strategy research. Paul also worked at James Capel Australia.

Paul holds degrees in Science and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Sydney and is currently Chairman of AIMA Asia Pacific.
